-m [1]
(thus after vowel, -im after consonant) inflexion of 1st person singular in present tenses of all verbs and past tenses of intransitive and passive verbs;
also 1st person singular present tense of enclitic verb ‘to be’, I am.
-m [2]
(thus after vowel, -im after consonant) pronoun affix 1st person singular I, me, my;
most commonly used:
(1) when the pronoun is the direct object of a transitive verb in the present tense
(2) in the genitive relation and so as possessive adjective
(3) with the prepositions bo, lê, pê, tê, legeḻ and postposition ê
(4) to express the agent in sentences having a transitive verb in a past tense, see appendix V.
